Set your Eve graphics options preset interval to Interval One this will set your maximum framerate to the refresh rate of your monitor. Worked for me on my Nvidea 8800gtx which was pumping out nearly 200fps and making the fan noise louder as it tr...

I'm also on Virgin media's excuse for a BB connection and gave up with the Indian call centre who couldnt diagnose anything and who themselves gave up after an hour by blaming it on my router which they wont support. Seem to remember this happened...
